Four Paws Animal Rescue Charity

Four Paws Animal Rescue is a small independent registered charity based in South Wales who tries to help any animal in need - those that are unwanted or in danger.

We are a volunteer based charity who help a range of animals, though we primarily tend to take in and re-home dogs, which is where our expertise lies and we pride ourselves on a non-destruction policy.

As far as possible we try to foster dogs  and cats in a home environment where they can be assessed and cared for without the stresses of kennels. All our animals receive veterinary care if needed, are vaccinated, wormed, flea treated & if old enough they are neutered and all prospective new owners are home checked. We can only do this with continued support, fundraising activities and donations.

Most of the dogs and cats that we re-home come to us from the local pound and are strays. The pounds that we work with have a 'Put-To-Sleep' policy if we are unable to help them. This makes the task even harder; if we do not have spaces ourselves we will work with other rescues to give these poor dogs a chance of a happy life. We also re-home a number of dogs and cats that have been handed in privately to us. Last year we rehomed over 200 dogs directly and found places for over 300 more with other rescues nationwide.
