The
music of Jamie Smith's MABON is well described as Original, Interceltic,
World Music. Composed by front-man Jamie Smith, and brought to life by
five highly accomplished musicians, it draws inspiration directly from the
traditional folk music of the Celtic countries.
In its former incarnation as ‘Mabon’, the band has represented
Wales on the world stage, performing in Europe and worldwide.
Their last album, ‘Live at the Grand Pavilion’ was recorded in
Porthcawl and has received widespread critical acclaim.

The Market Theatre is situated in the
market town of Cowbridge, surrounded by the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan
countryside. It was built largely by volunteers some twenty years ago and
is a small theatre with a seating capacity of sixty-five. Despite its
small size, it offers all the facilities of much larger venue including
full central heating, an excellent bar with associated kitchen facilities,
dressing rooms, sound system, an electronic piano, full stage and spot
lighting etc. Outside there is ample car parking.
The theatre is run by the resident group,
Cowbridge Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) who aim to stage three main
production a year in the theatre. The theatre is also available for hire
by visiting groups - either of theatre players or other organisations. The
stage setting and auditorium make it ideal for small conferences; for
smaller groups the bar area, equipped with tables and chairs, makes a
suitable venue for meetings of clubs and societies. For further details
